To use the image mix function while recording on a memory card, copy
the image files from your computer to the following folders on the mem-
ory card, depending on the shooting mode you wish to use.
Image mix frames that can be used only in mode:
CANON\PRIVATE\MY_PICT\BABY\
Image mix frames that can be used only in other modes:
CANON\PRIVATE\MY_PICT\
The camcorder can recognize image files named MIX_01.JPG to
MIX_99.JPG.
To copy image files directly onto the camcorder
1 Power the camcorder using the compact power adapter.
2Press ] to set the camcorder to playback mode and open the
[y] index screen for AVCHD movies (A 46).
3 Connect the camcorder to the computer using the supplied USB
cable.

4 Camcorder: Select [All (for PC only)].
When the connection is successfully established, [USB Connection]
will appear on the camcorder’s screen.
One or two new drives labeled “CANON” will appear on the
computer: one for the built-in memory (B only) and one for
the memory card in the camcorder.
5 Computer: Copy the image files to one of the folders mentioned
above, as necessary.
When you have finished, be sure to use the computer’s Safely Remove
Hardware function to end the connection before disconnecting the
USB cable and turning off the camcorder.
